Surly an Angel had come to collect his soul, the thought had come to Nevel courtesy of his sisters gentle whisopers and the last remenats of sunlight that was shining in his eyes. When Nevel finally regained consciuosness he found himself laid out upon a scourched wooden plank, no doubt part of his former ship, the Kaiser Max. Nevel opened his eyes to see his sister Rose floating next to him, it had been her voice that he heard speaking to him. "Rose, my sister, you survived. Thank the heavens." Nevel was laying on his side with one arms around the wooden plank and his head partially resting on a smaller portion, from this vantagepoint Nevel could only see the few crew men which flaoted before him. "My men? How many survived!"

Jason was more confused then aever, he sinmply could not get his head around the situatuiioon. A Cambion demon abducting a Philipian spirit of desease? The who thiong seemed too illogical to him, he had never anything like it before, Jason and the others hunters of the world certainly have their jobs cut out foir them. As Jason slowly walked down the hall toward the staircase he was trying to think of a way to get some answers, something weirtrd was goling on, someone must have some facts that they can work with......But who? Jason was just about to makle a turn for the staricase when he suddenly heard a distinct thumb behind him. Turning qiuckly and with much anxiety Jason discoerevd the body of the baby Analan, though it was onluy there for a few seconds as it too was reeduced to an ashy pile of black, stinking soot. Jason looked around and wondered at the reason for itys sudden appearance, perhaps the Cambion had rejected the specimen for some reason. Turning to face the sdtaircase Jason's decent was once again disruppted by stranfge phenomienon. This time the visiion too kthe form of a mental projection, as if thoughts and images were being implanted intioo his conscious mind as he stood upon the first downward step. Clearly this was coming from some infinatey powerful force and its meessage was clearly trying to help the hunter. Although he could not explain it, for some reason he knew that the voice inside his head was trying to help. This was particuallrly strange, seeing as no hunter of the past 20 years has ever been contacted by a benelolant force, ever since the great supernatural war there has been no signs of Angels or the like. Every hunter had come to accpet the face that thery were all alone in the battle to rid the workd of the new breed of superbnatural beings that have shown themselves in the last few years. This intruduction of a helpful, or possible helpful spirit into Jason's mind actually had the opposite desired effect. It was far more frightening to think about then it was a comfort wghich all huntters might benifet. Jason was so frightened by the prospect that he ran from the Jengko resisdence without saying anything to the other hunters in the kivingroom. Goin out the waty he had entered the home Jason got back inhis Linchon conntinental, its wheels screeming in reversa as he puilled out ogf the backyard. End of episode One.

The condition of them ain desck was a bleak and osbering remineded of the carnage of warefare, there were mountainous piles of mix matched body parts threwn amounsgt the broken and and charred portions of the quaterdeck; the formost and main mast, which are nearly absent save a few large splintery fragments. The massive amounts of destruction to the top side of the San Martino reflected its design, it is unlike thev more modern ironclads which were sleek and sealed, compleyl enclosed its crew within a veriteble shell. The hybride ironclad stil utikized sails, in combination with its 200 HP steam ebngine, though it was of little use after the hail storm of mangled bits and pieces from the Portogallo raijned down upon it. The complete and utter lack of all sailing rigs was painfully obvious to the stunned crew from the abdandoned Kaiser Max, and it was beyond sanity to thijnk thast the San Martino would ever again travel the seas purely by wind and sail. The thought of peerhaps utiliizing the steam engine were wiuckly dashed as Nevel and his men walked toward midship. Thier hearts sank even furher into thier wretched guts as when they discovered the largest portion of the stack enbedd into the top deck. There the steel funnel lay in a splintery grave, the stack was prevented from smashing its way through the hull of the San Martino by the steardiness of the gun deck, so reinforced for the use of the vessles twenty 32 pound turret battlements. Only a few inches of the snapped and twisted tube remain above, even if they could get the steam engine to work it would mean certain death for anyone who tried to remain below decks. The steam from the engine would no doubt filter down into the decks below, to remain topside wouyld only be a viable consifderation if the seas remained fair. Unfirtunly this was time of year when the sweas of the Adrieatic gew inclreasingly savage and deadly. Perhaps this was a risk that the crew of the doomed Kaiser Max would have to take, if they ever hoped to see once again thier loved ones. Nevel and Rose were fortunatly in this most unusual premise, for they were together now, and even if their lkives should be stolen away by the harseh and indifferent will of the sea, they shall met thier end together. A ll of this was well and good, at least untill they heard those cold cackling laughs which issued from the thick supernatural fog that now surroundeed the San Martino.

Abigial was now speaking to Klaus on the telephone, though the camilion maintained his identity as that of Franklin Belmont, the charming and piloite British antiquarian. "Professor McHugh, I have recieved some rarther disturbing news concerning your colluqe and friend professor Walter Miller. One thing I had not yet divulge to you is the intereste that certain other parties have in this machanism which I seek, and which I had ask your assistence ibn retreiving. It seems that these same indivuguakls have adbuded Walter, several hours ago I revcieved a communicay and a photo image of the professor and his captors. They insist that you help me in locating the device and return it to them in exchange for your friend." Franlin stopped his rarther rushed revelation to listen for some reply from Abigial, but after recieving non he continued. "I promise you Professor McHugh, help me. We will retrieve the machine and bring it to them as ransom." In an attempt to make his con completly Klaus had the actual photo and copmmiunication sent to Abigial. "Within the next hour or two you will recieve that same communicay and phot image of which I have just spoke. We mucst save professor Miller." There was nothing to do now but wait for Abigilas reply to Franklins seemingly selfless charity.

An overwhelming sencse of pride came over Nevel as he watched his sister snap into action, of how she had served as the inspiration for the other crew members to join in with removing debris which barred the way to the lower decks. In front postions within this esembleline of sailers was Rose and a young sailor that Nevel recognized had formally been the powder monkey for the Kaiser Max. He remembered giving the order to his 1st mate to elevate the boy to the position of pole sitter, a purlely logical decision, seeing as he was the lightest crewmember and would be nimble enough to climb the lenght of each mast. Nevel had never actually spoken to the young man, which was not all that uncommon for the captain of warship, whose crew was constantly shifting from engagment to engagment. But now, as Nevel stepped closer to the young sailor then he had ever done berfore, a horrible realization bored its way into his mind. The youthful sailor was in fact Janinee Lyontel, the offspring of his long dead brother and a common brothel wench, how could he have not known, how did anyone not know? Nevel stood beside the first two members of the esembly line, both of whom were a relation of his, looking from one to the other Nevel was about to speak the facts, but then changed his mind. For now Nevel thought it best to keep the youths identity secret and to not inform Rose that the person just over her shoulder was a neice to them both, Nevel had in fact kept Janinee's very existance a secret from his sister. As far as Rose was concerned thier brother had died amny years ago and had never married nor fathered any children. All these concerns vanished as the sailors removed the last large fragment which had blocked thier entry to the gun deck and the levels below. Nevel had everyone step aside as he ventured forth into the next level of the San Martino, what he had found there was that a series of chambers had been create by giant steel slates from the Maria and Portogallo which had pireced the San Martino.

Nevel sensed that the persojn beside him, who at this point was obviosuly desguesing themselves to hide thier gender, wouldnt give up her deception easily. "Okay then, since you refuse to face the truth, I only ask that you not reveal your idientity to Rose. I still have not fogiven my brother for what he did to our familty all those years ago." By this time Rose was on her way back into the first chamber, bringingh along with her a flaming torch and several other crew mates, one of them Italian. Sure enough as they brought more lifght into the dark chamber a gap was discovereed between the sheet of iron, which had come from iether the Portogallo or the Maria after they were destroyed by that monstrous liviathan. "We need something to use as a wedge, plus several long pipes or flatened pieces of iron. I want two men on levers, and Rose I need you with the wedge. We'll bend the plat and pull it to the right untill there is sufficant spaces by which to gain passege into the next chamber. Hopefully this is the only one, but just in case we will bring our prying tools with us into the next room." After giving his instructions Nevel took a torch from one of the men and squeezed it through the small gap, he then tossed the torch as far as possible, a difficulat task as there wasnt suffficiant room with which to achieve a proper casting of the burning stick. Nevel used the light to see inside the next section, though the flames of the torch had only illuminated the smallest portion of the room.

The survivors crew of the Kaiser Max numbered under 20 men, five of which had recieved signigant injury and where therefore unsuited to work at any exstrenious activities. Rose had userhered the men down into the gun deck, the five injured men were leading the rear of the line. These unfortunaly saolors would be spared any further discomfort when an arrent rave came brushing over the rail, the mens legs were taken from beneath them as they were swpt over the starbaord side of the San Martino. The placement of thier bodies during the onrush of water had served as a blaocage for those who had already decended into the lower decks. These brave men had paid for the safety of thier comrads with thier lives, in an attempt to prevent more sea water from rushing into the gun deck several of the more fit sailors bloacked the enterway. After amking sure that the coverlets for the gun ports were also secure the ragtag group of exhausted sailers got some much needed rest.

After contacting a special agent of the FBI, with whom he was acquainted, Jason had secured the address and some directions for finding the Perez family home in Drexcel Heights. About an hour later he had arrived at the residence and parked his car along the side-street curb opposite the house.
Although he had certainly felt the vibration of his phone within his front jean pocket, Jason chose to ignore it completely, but now sitting in his 1966 Lincoln the hunter was beset with a bit of boredom. Taking the opportunity to satisfy his curiosity Jason decided to check his phone for any missed calls, and one call in particular.
After pressing the required button for checking such messages Jason learned that the missed call, missed quite intentionally, was from James Colt. He realized that he owed James a big favor after what happened the first time they had worked together, but he was determined not to let anything interfere with his plan, a plan whose success relied on Jason staying exactly where he is.
His plan was simple enough, wait for the Cambion to show up at the Perez residence like he had back in California.
Jason had prepared several items based on what hunters knew concerning Cambion demons-Exorcisms, holy water and extremely powerful incantations were the name of the game today.
A Cambion would laugh at the normal incantation which hunters usually recite to get rid of lesser demonic spirits, only the most ancient of spells could dispatch one of these bad mothers.
Jason had stopped by the hardware store before arriving at the Perez house, there he purchased twenty feet of 4 inch clear plastic tubing.
In between his legs sitting inches from the accelerator pedal was a gallon jug of water recently blessed.
Now the waiting began.....

Nevel cuaght a gkllimps of the spark within Rose' eyes as she arose and git right to work, he was so very proud of his sister, she had really eleveated herself to the task of being as good as sailer as was possible uder the cercomstances. For many years Nevel hadnt thought very much of her exploits, she seemed to shirk repsonciblitiyes commonly assiaocted with what a woman of that era should be. Now he new the truth concerning his sisters reasons for acting the way she had in the past, but it wasnt untill that second when she popped up to lead the charge of clearing the bedrs which covered the enterence to the third deck, that he finally understood. Nevel lightly chuckled to himself as he reaized that his little sister was being more active in the preperations for restarting the generator. He qiuckly got up and walked over to where Rose and the other men were working and joined in on the fun. After a few minutes of hard labor everyone working suddenly stopped as each of them simultaniously felt a presence coming toward them from behind. Franticly they turned, each with thier own idea of what had creeped up behind them already in thier brians. Nevel was certain tyhat the ship was being invaded by pirates, still others had far stranger suspecions. None of the them expected to see what they did upon turning around. The eerie supernatural fog had crept into the vessel through the smallest of cracks and crevaces, whisps of mist suddenly surrounded three of the sailors just above their ancles.

Although Jason had pretty much followed the two femakle hunters a large distance arcoss the country he seemed to be the only one actively involved in the case. He of course had no way of knowing that Jo had already been there and gone, the blond wasnt to be found, and Jason had no idea the other guy was even involved. He had chslked uyp the call from James as a simply coinicidence and frankly diddnt thik much of it beyond the call itself. It seems as though Jsson was a very poopular guy today, not only had he been contacted by someone he knew from the past, he was now recieving calls to his mind. Jason had a enough of disembodied voices breaking into his thoughts and so when Pearl had tried to communicate he did his best to block it out. It seems Jason has been left to take care of the demon on his own, if the thing kept to his schedule he should be showing uyp any time now. Whatever happened Jason needed to prevent the Cambion from getting his hands on the Cuco spirit. This hunter had one advantage over the others, in that he was intimatly familiar with the spirit, he knew how to kill it. The holy water that Jason had brought with him would be of use here, there was one thing that is similiar between the Cambion and your lesser form of demon. The holy water was an effecrtive waepn againght Cambion demons, though it had to be blessed salt water mixed with the extract of a tropical evergreen shrub and extract of mandrake. Unfortunaly it takes several days for it to ultimatly kill the demon, which means the hunter must sit with he beast until it expires. The upside was that the demon only has to in the presence of the blessed water, thats why Jason purchased all those feet of clear plastic tubing. Lucily Jason was a wiz when it comes to playing carnival games, he was now about to play the most macabre and twisted version of Ring Toss anyone has ever played before. What Jason didnt know was that Jo had already figured it all out, Jason was betrayed by the Cambion-A lying demon? Who would have thought. One thing was certain, Radu wasnt going to tap into Jason's mind and disclose the loaction of the cave where it and the Cuco are to be found.

"Rose! watch out!!" Nevel shouted as he came awake, the warning came from the fear that had accumiliated in his mind as he slept, in a dream; which as with all dreams lasted but a brief second, Nevel saw his sister being attacked from behind. Now that he was aware of his surrpoundings he saw his dream transforminto reality as one of the mist-things came up to Rose. In a qiuck movement Nevel rerared up and pushed Rose to the side and then in a single smooth motion dove towarsd the fog creature. Nevel passed rifght through its veil and tubled along the floor, getting up Nevel ran directly thorugh the thing once more as he ran to Rose. Taking his sisters hand he lead her to the passage to the third deck, shouting to the remaining sailors to come with him. Other sailors met thier demise in that battle, the last of the Italians had been ripped to pices by the ghosts, two of Oblust's men were also killed. Captain Nevel Oblust, his sister and the remaining 4 crew memnberrs ran down to the third and last deck to safety, the zombie-ghosts did not follow them-For now.

The plan remained the same, get to the blassted steam engine and get the god-damn thing to work, Nevel knew it was all pointless now, how could they defend themselves againght ghosts nad get the engine tortgether at the same time. It was important to Nevel to keep the last few members of the ill-faterd Kaiser Max, he had been the captain of that grand old lady, the lest he could do was to keep the spirit of his command alive. There was no time for procrastinating, they had to kget to the engine room, they wwere fortunaly that the iton slates from the destroyed Italian vessels hadnt completly blocked off the way. Nevel wasnt much for facts concerning the unseen world and he had absolutly no idea of how to stop the fog-zombies. "Our only hope is to get that engine working." More then anyhthing Nevel had said this just to give the others something to passs the time before they were all ripped to shreds by the spirits.

A hunting trip to a hunting retreat.
After something is seen roaming near a sewer plant, known locally as the "Shit House" the protagonists journeys to a simple town to investigate omens at a burned out church.
The Harvestman disguises itself as a disfigured farmer and lives in a house which stands within supposedly huanted woodlands, on the outskirts of a small rustic town, beyond the haunting lodge, which itself stands on the opposite side of a great gorge. A storm washes out the bridge.
Another group of college student/friends go on a field trap to the huanted forest, which isnt really huanted, one of the guys just says it is to get his friends to go with him, eventuqally this comes out.

Abiigla didnt have to wait long before Franklin arrived at the seculded and trendy cafe, Franklin came over to the table wghere Abifgial had sat, pulling out a chair for himself. Even before he had taken a seat he stasrted to fill his brunch date in on what was going on with Walter. "I know that you are having a hard time trusting me, I dont blame you considering all youve been through in the last few years, during your many adventures. In fact, as I already stated, that is presisly the reason why I sought you out." Finally Franklin sat in his chair, placing the folder he was carring on the table. "Here is the simply truth." Opening the folder to reveal a stack of papers, much like the ones contained in the dossier Abigial had in her possesstion. "We are in grave danger, there is a chance that we will be seeing another world wide war in our lifetime." Turning over several pages he continued. "One day from this very hour, the machine mentioned in that dossier, will be crated and boarded onto a plane headed for for East Germany. Im sure you know about the Russian cutting off all supplies going into the occipied section of Germany? Well, our boys....along with some American chaps have been flying missions in and out of the occiupied zone. The item which we seek is being hidden abouar one of these flights. In short, we must prevent the Russians from getting thier hands on what could possible the most destruvtoive force ever concieved in war, a veritaible army of Metal warriors. Forces which will sweep across the lands of our failr country and eventually the weorld." Klaus lowered his head as if he was truly upset, this of course was mere pretense. Exhaling. "We need to get that device for our side...at least that was the plan. Now that professor Miller has vanished we need the machine for him. His life depends on us securing it, we must not fail Walter." Klaus hoped that last sentence would clinch the deal, hoping it had sufficaintly pulled on Abigials heartstrings.

Walter's eyes and mind went wide. "Dragon's Teeth!!" Forgetting everything but those two words Walter spoke. "To hell with a few stolen trickets, tell me everything." She definailty had Walters attention.
