How do you like your Freddy Krueger character, do you like him dark with a touch of sadistic black humor, or joke a minute Freddy like in the rest of the series. Personally for me Nightmare was ruined after the second film, and it took me to just recently to accept part two.

I prefer the darker, sadistic version of him. There's just something so unsettling about a dream demon invading you dreams. I found the wise cracking Freddy amusing yet diasppointing in that he was no longer the demon of dreams he began as. I mean that version is good for a laugh but it didn't bring anything to series. At least they went back to the darker Freddy in New Nightmare.
