Frightmare (a.k.a. Cover Up) is a 1974 British slasher film commonly though of as the British Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It is also one of Peter Walker's more notable films.
In an isolated farmhouse, Dorothy Yates lives with her husband. Dorothy has just been released from a mental intuition after it was found that she was a cannibal who killed and at least partially ate six people in 1957. Her devoted husband, Edmund Yates was convicted as well but it soon becomes apparent that he faked his dementia only to remain with his wife and that he had nothing to do with the killings. Now its 1974, and Dorothy it seems has had a very severe relapse. She secretly lures young people to her isolated farmhouse with the promise of tea and a tarot card reading. Unfortunately for the unsuspecting victims, the sessions end in violent murder and a 'feast' for Dorothy.

I'm not convinced of this films placement within the main Slasher board, judging by the title it seems more like a Cannibal movie, which is itself an established genre in horror. Haven't seen it yet but for now it has been moved here. Your opinion

That's okay, I wasn't sure about it either. I was thinking that since its somewhat along the lines of Texas Chainsaw Massacre that it might fall into the same category. But it all depends on how its portrayed.

We'll see, hopefully we can see it someday and then decide, unless a rash of members vote for it.

I like Pete Walker's The Comeback better than Frightmare. In the Comeback the killer wears an old witch's or old woman's mask similiar to the one in Terror Train in it.
