Silent Night, Bloody Night is a low-budget 1974 slasher film. It centers around a man who inherits a mansion, as he begins to investigate its past dark history a killer begins stalking the area.
Wilford Butler returns home on Christmas Eve to discover that his home has been turned into a instution for the criminally insane. But that very same day he is set on fire and dies. Believing his death to be an accident the townspeople close down the instution that resided there. Wilford's grandson Jeffrey inherits the property and decides to sell his grandfather's house. Despite his attempts to sell, the townspeople seem at odds over letting people near the house, especially after a serial killer escapes another hospital and takes refuge among its halls. The killer makes chilling phone calls and kills anyone who comes near the house. But could it be that the killer did not choose the old house at random?
